Some Notes Worth Keeping

I love this top 10.  Well done, Gurbaksh.

"Happiness is elusive without balance. I learned that the hard way. As an entrepreneur, I’ve been fortunate to see financial success but that has little connection to genuine happiness. A famous writer once said, "Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you." In other words, let passion dictate the 86,400 seconds you share with the world each day.

For leaders to be effective, they need to be able to be able to organize, direct, and focus people's efforts toward the goals of the organization.

But that's only half of a leader’s job.  The other half is being able to engage people emotionally in the goals of the company. In studying highly effective organizations, we've found that the best leaders are the ones who can create self-direction and self-motivation in their people.

This is a very good video.  Money is just a medium, "a tool of exchange".  Do what you love and love what you do and be "productive".

This reminds me of Francisco's speech at Taggart's wedding in Atlas Shrugged:

Love people

"Love people and use things"

Not the other way around.

Great words to reflect upon once in a while.

A Leader...

"A leader has followers, otherwise they are a loner".  -- my Dad.

Something to think about when you look in the mirror and consider yourself a "leader".
