Some Notes Worth Keeping

This morning I was texting with an old friend of mine from High School, Chad Huffer.  We were reminiscing about the influences we had early in life.  Mine in particular was Mr Cook.  My 7th grade honors math teacher.  I still remember it vividly.  Mr. Cook took Troy Lutes and me into a back room and said "I want you both to know that I have to pass you and recommend you to 8th grade honors math because of your grades.  However, I also want both of you to know that I fought it and don't want to.  I don't believe either of you willl ever amount to anything".

Thanks Mr. Cook for the 25 or so years of passion you fueled.  While I don't know where Troy ever ended up, you definitely were wrong about me.  For that I say FYou very much...!

To close out this thought, here is my all time favorite movie clip by Will Smith.  I tear with passion every time I watch it.  Enjoy...
