World Bank China is now Live!

Blogs from business

Woo Hoo! After many long months I'd like to announce that the World Bank's China site is now live! You can see the site here:

I'm fresh out of a victory celebration and waiting for my airplane...

I've been out here in DC at the World Bank international HQ since mid Nov. representing Adobe/Day and Crown Partners. Crown was brought in as an architectural expert via our partnership with Adobe. The World Bank had previously contracted with HCL and had a team of 20+ developers in Chennai, India but they lacked leadership. The bank also needed advice on how to best setup their in-house server architecture to leverage CQ. Crown filled both those gaps, providing development leadership, template and component design/development, and hardware infrastructure architecture (including proposals for Cloud based Production environments).

The World Bank chose CQ because they wanted to move away from having a centralized authoring team who created the content for every country. Now, leveraging CQ 5.3's in-context editing the authoring is being done by business users within each country office. This means that the business practice IN CHINA is responsible for the content on the World Bank's China page. I hear they are in Singapore this week being trained.

Cheers,
Bryce

Team,

Many thanks to you all the China site - the first site on the new DAY platform - is now live. This is a very challenging project with integration to Projects, Enterprise Search, Research, Open Data, Blogs, Multimedia, Flicker, Facebook and much more. Added to this the multilingual support is awesome.

regards,
Sharath.
