Verizon Win Report: 6/7/2010
Nice work, Charlie and team.
This is a great win for Crown and one that should (will) start us out on a multi-year relationship with Verizon. Bringing the whale to shore is always a difficult feat. Let’s make sure this is a stellar kick start project with Verizon. Then, let’s harvest. Rotting whale meat on the beach, Stinks!
Here’s to a great win, great start and lots of harvesting!

and many hours of GSA negotiations from Richard Hearn & Tim Collins
Back in December, I sent out a win report based on the software sale to VZW for Web Composer, Web Gear and Xena. This sale went along with a huge Dctm sale that we helped EMC nail down.
We have finally, after many exhausting months, completed the negotiation process for the General Services Agreement and SOW to deploy D6.5 SP3, Web Publisher platform and our products (mentioned above) to
replace an aging Red Dot based internal Customer Care Portal, known as InfoManager, with a new WCM platform. The existing solution presented many difficulties for content authors and contributors in generating information to be readily available for Customer Care Reps, when dealing with consumers.
The project kicks off next Wednesday in both Basking Ridge, NJ and Dublin, OH. The initial project will run 4.5 months and net us $346K and will set us up for future engagements at VZW. This is just to get them to properly create and manage content that gets pushed to their internal site. Haven’t even discussed the consumption side yet.
Project team members have been identified and are ready to slay the dragon.
Frank Riley, Graham Hutchinson, Robb Winkle, Mark Procopio and Rene Robles – go get it done!!!
Did someone say “pour me a Patron”?
