Interactive Marketing & eCommerce Change: 2/2/2010

Blogs from business

Anyone who has visited the Dayton office recently will tell you we are in building mode (nearing completion anyway...)!  We have had a construction crew busily working on enhancing our office to reduce noise levels and to provide more space for small group meetings.  At the same time, we’ve cleaned up the grounds and put us a sign (or two) stating to the world that this is our World Wide HQ!  This is a small investment in terms of dollars but it will make a big difference in the working environment for our Dayton employees – did you know that we now have 60% of our employees living in Ohio?

2010 is a building year and we are starting off by adding several new positions and people to the company.  As you heard in the Crown Town Hall - 2010 is a year we will aggressively pursue the market created by the ecosystem of the Web.  We have added several key positions and capabilities to help us win and expand our services in that arena.

Interactive Marketing

Jennifer Seaman and MJ Leman have joined Crown as a Marketing Account Executive and Interactive Marketing Director, respectively.  Their role is a sales and subject matter expert role and they will pursue services engagements in the Interactive Marketing realm.

Jennifer was most recently with Nova Creative and brings deep marketing communications and business development experience to Crown.  She has already been working with Angelo Smith to propose marketing related services to Treasure Island and we look to introduce her into existing and new accounts for Crown.  (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/jennifer-seaman/0/934/293)

MJ Leman built and sold Implications International, a marketing consulting company, and recently completed his MBA at Ohio State University (Go Bucks!).  MJ is a knowledge leader in the Interactive Marketing space and brings a wealth of both theoretical marketing knowledge and practical marketing expertise to Crown.  ( http://www.linkedin.com/in/mjleman).

Both Jennifer and MJ will be looking to drive Interactive Marketing services and solutions with support across Crown’s 4 practices (ETL, ECM, WaM and EPM).  Jennifer’s first week found her in Las Vegas supporting a Treasure Island email marketing campaign initiative, and MJ’s first day found him on the phone with the EPM group selling Marketing analytics to a prospective customer.

We have high hopes and aspirations for them both!

eCommerce

We have also added a small core team of eCommerce experts with the addition of Rob Miller and Steve McCann.  Rob and Steve joined Crown on February 1st from Solve Interactive/DK Burnap where they spent over 5 years selling and delivering eCommerce solutions.  They recently sold their company (Solve) to DK Burnap, an advertising agency in Dayton, and were looking for a technology firm where they could support the build out of an eCommerce business.  They bring extensive eCommerce experience and a promising list of potential eCommerce clients to Crown.  Check out http://www.elasticpath.com.  They know the package like we know Documentum and Hyperion!  Rob will join the sales team and Steve will join the WaM team.

We believe these additions to our already strong team will put us in a position to execute on our 2010 business plan.  Please join me in welcoming Jennifer, MJ, Rob and Steve to the Crown team!
